Established in 1988, DLSU-D Chorale is a pioneer institutional performing arts organization under the DLSU-D Cultural Arts Office. The group is composed of students from different colleges who strive to promote appreciation for choral music, uphold Filipino faith and culture, and aid its members toward becoming people who fully live by the Lasallian core values of faith, zeal in service, and communion in mission. The former conductors of DLSU-D Chorale, Prof. Jesus “Jess” Esguerra and Madz alumnus Mr. Vell Litan, both hail from the UP College of Music. Under the leadership of Mr. John Angelo Diamos, an alumnus of the group and former tenor of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, the group has produced choral concerts in different parts of Cavite and continues to actively participate in choral festivals and competitions to further spread its passion and love for choral music in the community.
John Angelo S. Diamos is an alumnus of the DLSU-D Chorale, where served as the assistant conductor for 10 years before stepping up as the choirmaster in 2018. Through his guidance, the choir has been staging concerts at the University and participating in choral festivals inside and outide Cavite, including the Madz et Al Choral Festival. He led the group as it participated in the 2019 Busan Choral Festival and Competition. Mr. Diamos was also the conductor of the Cavite Institute-Elisea Youth Chorus from 2008 to 2014. Mr. Diamos sang with the Philippine Madrigal Singers from 2018 to 2022 and joined the group in workshops and concert tours in Visayas, Mindanao, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia.
